    Best Science Fiction Films

Brazil has gotten mentioned quite a lot as well, along with Blade Runner. As long as people go ahead and place votes for them, I think they'll both place on the list.

    Best Science Fiction Films

Bladerunner has been mentioned quite a few times. I think it will make a good showing on the list if enough people vote for it.

Did you ever throw a book across the room?

    "badly written" in what sense?

    What books have you hated?

That reminded me... I saw someone reading Jane Eyre on the bus today, and while I can't say I hated this book, I did find it terribly exhausting. I couldn't figure out what this person would read it for leisure.

I remember reading that book as well.

Any really, really, really long books that you would recommend?

I only skimmed the other posts, so forgive me if it's already been mentioned, but I think that GRR Martin's Game of Thrones fits the bill.

    Long novels or short novels?

I think, more than anything, it's the right combination of size and scope that matters in fiction.

    How often do you read?

I read on the bus, so generally every day that I ride the bus I read.

    What books have you hated?

I wonder, sometimes, if reading lists for school hurt more than help. Sometimes I suspect that, due to school reading lists, I ended up looking at reading as more of a chore than a joy.

    Long novels or short novels?

I would rather read a trilogy of shorter novels than one longer novel.

    Laurell K. Hamilton

I haven't read that book in particular, but I recently read one of her books and found it exhausting.

    First book you ever read?

I'm currently "re-reading" on audiobook the first novel I ever read by my own choice.

Did you ever throw a book across the room?

What, exactly, bothered you about it?

    Long novels or short novels?

One too-long book I read recently was Kushiel's Dart. It could have been quite an excellent book if it had been made a trilogy instead of a book. But there was simply too much happening in one volume!

    What books have you hated?

You got winter break books? I was annoyed enough just to get them over summer break!
