Lian Hearn: Tales of the Otori

I haven't read the first one, but I'm currently(and slowly) working my way through the second one(I have a habit of reading books in the wrong order). So far I really like it, I'm thinking of asking the bookstore to order the first for me.

    What's your Pirate name?

Calico Prudentilla Flint Often indecisive, you can't even choose a favorite color. You're apt to follow wherever the wind blows you, just like Calico Jack Rackham, your namesake. Like the rock flint, you're hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you're easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!

    Gaming Systems

Well, the only systems we have now are ps1 and 2, n64 and gamecube, so I haven't tried xbox, but from the systems I have tried, I'm a ps2 person through and through. I like that the controllers, memory cards, and games from the ps1 can still be used, plus doubling as a dvd player. I've had it...

    Does this even exist?

I'm pretty sure most of you have heard of The Princess Bride, the movie or the book, anyway. About a year ago I picked up a copy of the book at barnes and nobles, read it, put it on the shelf, after a while I came back and read it again. It "includes the first chapter of the long lost sequal...

    From the Page to Reality

Florin, The Princess Bride is just one of my favorites, and being so, how could I not go to Florin? Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar would be a second choice, and the dragon island from Song in The Sience would take third.

    A million

A million.. well, that would go towards my dream beach house in hawaii, of course, including a library, a wrap around porch, a smaller side house for the pet chicken, and a mailbox built into a palm tree. Yep.

    Ninja cat

I remember seeing that clip in a sort of cats-bloopers video at another forum. Now I want to see it again...

    A question for the Ladies

Long hair, short short.. people don't usually care much for my opinion on this but anyway: Short hair- can look good Long hair- Drop. Dead. Gorgeous. (When well kept that is) The longer the better. For anyone. It's just very beatiful and elegant(IMHO).

    Best opening Scene/Sentence/Word?

Even though it may not be 'best' per se, but one of my personal favorite opening scenes/sentences/words would be the opening from "Every Living Thing" "I am never at my best in the early morning, especially a cold morning in the Yorkshire spring with a piercing March wind sweeping down from...
