One thing that never makes it on to the list that I know the troops love is tobacco products. You can buy them in the PX over there, but the quality stinks. If the service member you send them to doesn't smoke/dip, he has a buddy that does.
I can usually rean about 60 pages per hour, so that would be about 5 hours for a 300 page book. So if I had 5 hours straight to just read (ha ha), I could read 2 books in a day. As life really occurs, probably 1 book per week.
I was over in Iraq for about 7 months. I haven't read any of the stuff on the GWOT, although I read Jarhead, and was suprised at how whiny Swafford came across.
My wife and I saw Ghost Rider last night. Has anyone else seen it? What did you think of it? I haven't read any of the comics, but I thought it was pretty good. I always like Sam Elliot.
