I used to read a lot, all the time in fact, but nowadays it's weird. I'm so busy with work and everything that I frequently don't read for months on end. I try and read, but find I just can't get into it. And then one day I just pick up and book and ZOOOOOOOOOOM, off I go.
I am on something...
I've just finished reading My Sister's Keeper. Forget who the author is, possibly Jodi someone (although that could be completely wrong :p ).
Don't know if any of you have heard of this book, but it's about a thirteen year old girl who sues her parents for rights to her own body after she...
Hey Cerridwen, welcome to the forums!
I used to know a Ceridwen (one "r") when I was at university, a fine Welsh name you have there. :)
They're a friendly bunch here!
Sut mae! A chroeso i'r fforwm. :D
Dw i ddim yn siarad llawer o gymraeg ond ron i'n byw yn Abertawe (es i fyfyrwraig yna). Ond rwy'n dod o Loegr!
And I'm done with the Welsh... There's only so much an English girl can do. :p
Oh I have done plenty of embarrassing things when drunk, mainly involving being sick and telling people that I love them.
The most recent one though was in August when I accidentally got hammered (I don't drink very much, only get drunk about once or twice a year if that) and first I was an...
I have done my fair share of reading in the bath in the past, but at the moment I am averse to it.
I have tried it a couple of times recently because I know how much I have enjoyed it in the past, but I always get to the point where I want to give in and soak my whole self in the water...
I've just finished reading Abhorsen (literally, just finished it 20 minutes ago) and thought the whole series was just brilliant. The ending of Abhorsen was just perfect, and tied everything up beautifully.
Thanks for the link, Tartan_Skirt! Glad to know there will be another book in the...
I used to keep all my books, but of course you end up running out of space. Anyway, a couple of years ago me & my sis cleared out literally hundreds of books from our room and donated them all to the local library.
Nowadays, I live by myself. I keep the books I think I might like to refer to...
I saw it years ago at the cinema and remember thinking it was odd but very good, and very much something different for the time it was released.
I really can't remember much else, except that I enjoyed it. My, this is a fascinating post! :D
I've just finished reading The Da Vinci Code. To be honest, I really enjoyed it, but I don't have a very high opinion of Dan Brown's writing. It just didn't seem worthy of publishing! That sounds a little harsh, but my honest opinion is that there is nothing outstanding about his work and it is...
Scrabble two-letter words
Okay, here they are:
AA - a type of lava
AD - colloquial for advertisement
AE - Scots word for one (adjective)
AH - interjection expressing surprise, joy, etc, to make such an interjection
AI - the three-toed sloth: same as ayu

Saw this on a plane a couple of months ago and really enjoyed it. Wasn't quite a gritty as I'd been expecting it to be but I thought it was really good.
Dakota Fanning's the best thing in it though!
I've just started reading Sabriel after a friend recommended Lirael. So far, I'm really enjoying it although I don't think it's such a perfectly-crafted book although it's certainly a page-turner. Based on what I have read so far, I will definitely be reading the sequels.
I've read Stephen King in French and sometimes it's really well translated and at others not so good. I've also read The Horse Whisperer in French and it was fine. I read these in French because I love the books and I love French, and I usually pick up some vocab from them.
Not sure I can make a good contribution but I'll try....
Er best fiction... Really have no idea. Just sooo many. Possibly The Shining by Stephen King, but really... No idea.
Worst fiction... Well I read half of an Anne Rice book called, I think, Violin. It was depressing and boring...
