yes i buy them. i'm not sure why. addictive compulsive habit maybe. i never collected vhs tapes like this. i try to limit it to just stuff i'd watch again, but i've grown quite a film library over the years. in some ways it's a lot like book collecting i guess.
i think part of it is that...
i hope for your sake that you can. Arrested Development is quite funny. it's too bad FOX keeps wanting to cancel it. i'm hoping Showtime picks it up soon.
yes he took over the late late show from Craig Kilborn (yuck) on CBS in 2005. couldn't stand kilborn.
i heard carson was the inspiration for My Name is Earl..
This season I've been watching:
Mondays
Surface
Arrested Development
Tuesdays
Scrubs
House
Wednesdays
LOST
Thursdays
My Name Is Earl
Fridays
Arrested Development - FEBRUARY 10! ;)
Sundays
Desperate Housewives
Grey's Anatomy
Shows i tried but hated: Bones, Invasion, Emily's Reasons Why...
cheesy yet addictively fun.
not quite LOST, but the science/scifi geek in me loves it. :D
the ending is always good and today's episode was no different.
whenever i read a really good book my first thought is almost always something along the lines of: 'i can't wait to see this as a movie!'. i love seeing characters i've read about come to life on screen, especially when the the movies are well made. i've got a bit of a movie obsession to go...
you're not alone. :) i typically have three or four going at the same time. i think six is the most i've ever juggled though.
currently working through Grass for his Pillow, The Third Policeman, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, and rereading The Hobbit.
yep. i think you're probably right. i started an amazon wishlist for that purpose on this past friday. :)
just wondering if there was something else set up already that i was missing. seems like there would be. but i guess not yet.
thanks for the reply.
did this for another forum and thought you all might be interested in the info also. i'm sure i've missed some, so if you know of any, post below! :D
key:
US release month

i'm trying to build up a classics library of sorts and don't want to spend $50/book. looking for something kind of like zooba where i can put together a list of classic books and they'll send me one a month. zooba really doesn't have a great classics or poetry section unfortunately.
any...
recently finished this and quite enjoyed it. it has a similar feel to Bridge of Birds by Barry Hughart, which is still superior. parts were predictable, but as a whole, the story was intriguing enough. 4/5
also, i visited the official book site yesterday and apparently Universal is bringing...
agreed.
i was pretty disappointed with this book overall, after the greatness that is the Farseer/Liveship/Tawny Man Series. the story to me seemed both slower and more disjointed than the six duchies works. more like her writing as Megan Lindholm. i'm hoping the followup will be better...
i've seen it and thought it was good, but as usual, i thought the book was much more enjoyable. as far as irving adaptations go i'd rank this one above simon birch, but slightly below cidar house rules. (and actually i rank the books in the reverse order). haven't seen hotel new hampshire...
Robin Hobb is a wonderful fantasy writer. when people ask for recommendations, i bring her up right away. her characterizations and story telling ability are a marvel. her stories are well paced and always make me want to jump ahead to see what happens next, but i find i can't do it just...
i often wonder this a lot myself these days. i can't decide if it's just that the movies lately have been unusually low quality or if i've be spoiled by lotr. aside from potter and lotr, nothing's really grabbing me these days and demanding that i run to the theater to see it asap.
well...
books and movies (dvd and in the theatre) of course.
i work with animals at the local shelter when i have time.
i'm currently trying to learn how to quilt, as i love the beautiful designs you can make in quilts, and they're so warm and comfy.
i surf the web a lot.
i run and i swim...
i moderate a book forum for a movie site (www.filmhobbit.com) and am always on the look out for good sites with book news. thanks to all you who have listed your favorite sites so far! :) i found this site about a month ago and have been avidly reading it ever since. other sites i visit...
does anyone know where i might be able to find a list of this years film adaptations to be released? i've found some info on imdb, but it's not well sorted in this category.
thanks in advance
