I'm a writer (or trying :o ) and I know how hard it is to end a short story, novel, or whatever. It's pretty difficult, especially when you're eager to move onto something else.
Prey by Michael Crichton was ended just the way I would probably would've ended, but I still think a...
I've tried reading more than one at a time, but I usually end up spending too much time on one book and stop reading the other or something. It's too much of hassle so I just do one at a time now. :o
For Relic, Cabinet of Curiosities, Still Life With Crows, and Brimstone: Pendergast and for most of those D'agosta. Two of my favorite characters.
The St. Bernard in Cujo.
Hmm... can't think of anymore.
I think that a lot of Stephen King is overrated. I LOVED The Long Walk and I thought Cujo was pretty cool, but I mean it's not that AWESOME AND SPECTACULAR, the impression I get from every one of his books being on the New York Times #1 Best Seller and the reviews. After, the two I mentioned, I...
Yeah, I'm about to start Still Life With Crows by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. I hear it was really good so I'm hoping it will help me some. Any other suggestions?
That's why I haven't been here in so long. I have a kind of... reader's block :( . I need something to inspire me. After, I read the Relic by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. I kept reading and reading and reading. I was a read-aholic. But now, I haven't read anything in a while. Anyone got...
I'd say it would be Lies, Inc. by Phillip K. Dick. It was so confusing and stupid... he wouldn't ever let you know what the hell is going on. I got so frustrated I went and returned it.
I am a really slow reader. But it's weird cause I'm probably the fastest reader at my school but whenever I'm on boards and stuff I'm always the one who seems to be reading at an extremely slow pace :( .
Being a slow reader, I probably haven't read that many...
Well I read mostly Sci-fi and thrillers right now. If I had to pick one it would be Non-fiction because I read to entertain...very rarely do I find myself reading a book for information and enjoying it. :D
Ah, I see Gizmo. Codex didn't look that great anyway. You don't like Pendergast very much, do you?
I find Reliquary to be the least enjoyable because the ending was spoiled for me....I guess thats why. :)
I have a garfield book mark... It rarely happens that I lose it or it falls out or something, but I almost always stop on a chapter and so I memorize what happened before and always memorize the chapter number so it's not really a problem for me :) .
I, myself just got done with Cujo, hay. I enjoyed it a lot but your right it wasn't very scary... still the descriptions of the dogs feelings and such was great. Stephen King turned a simple rabies case into something more thrilling. I was expecting more killings too and it was sadder than I...
I used to hate reading more than anything when I was smaller. I think it was because the books bored me... every book I was assigned in school I thought were either stupid or very boring.
Finally, I was assigned a book in the fourth grade of which I loved! I thought reading was...
