I think the current method in U.S. is sound enough at current technological level. As a foreign born, I do not see a better justice system. I see lot of failure and reason for the main failure is bribery.
For the current system to change, I can only imagine if a totally different...
Thanks guys, I finally figured it out - after reading your replies.
It had something to do with Default Subscription Mode.
Then, there was the pull down menu to choose from. And I was on Instant Email Notice or something like that.
Gee, I was good with techie stuff, now I must be...
I keep getting e-mails from this forum whenever there is a new post on a thread that I've replied on. I searched User CP and was not able to figure out how to undo this function. Anyone? Thanks.
The correct answer is guns make it so easy to kill. If you want to kill someone I'm sure you can run them over with your car, stab'em with a knife, strangle, poison, but the most convenient method is the gun. I held a 38 before. And guess what I felt: This thing is made for one purpose - and...
Oooh... I hate it when I see a book that's open with its spine up  , lying flat on its soft and tender belly. And then when the book is new, it wants to close itself and my young cousins would press on it to crease the spine vertically or even splitting the glued spine/book. Boy, after...
Hey, I didn't know such thing existed, until today. :p
(That vasectomy thing caught my eye.)
But, I still can't see the contents. If I may ask: How do I apply?
Welcome sophia,
In regards to your question, I was recently telling my wife - we can move to the boonies or mountains, as long as we can get dsl, we won't have to worry about lack of choice in books due to amazon.com/internet ;)
I really enjoyed the pulitzer winner, Middlesex. Then I started Virgin Suicides by the same author. It was most depressing. Too depressing even to go any further. Stopped somewhere in the middle of it.
For a real tear jerker I finished: East of Eden by Steinbeck and Book Thief by Markus...

I haven't ran into too many footnotes. Last one was in the Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud. And the footnotes were one of the funniest part of the book.
Closest one I can think of is: Five people you meet in heaven by Mitch Albom. There is no adventure. Other than that, I thought it was very suspenseful. No crimes involved, great for moms to read. And, most poignant.
I like to keep track of what I read also. Using the blog on this website is a great tool for that. I guess it's best to keep a spreadsheet, but, I guess I can always do that later. And I lose lot of stuff/data whenever my HD fails. And I don't think it's strange. You can't remember if...
Yes, I read that one. Very very different ending from the Disney movie :)
My upcoming project is Les Miserables (unabridged) - project because that thing is long (If I can find the time). Then on my list to be read is Candide by Voltaire (one of these days). Maybe you can let me know how it...
How about, Homeland: The Dark Elf Trilogy, Part 1 by R.A. Salvatore.
If you enjoy that, you can read the whole series. Then there are other trilogies that he wrote of the Dark Elf. Lots of combat and hacking away bad guys.
I read a short story out of a book while back. The title was Burning Chrome, by William Gibson. I thought it was one awesome story and recommended it to a friend. He didn't like it. I still think it's great.:)
Going thru a journey, there is "Jip, His Story" by Katherine Paterson, where a (slave) boy tries to "escape" from being captured by his former owner. Not anywhere near Oregon though. He is in Vermont, and destination is Canada. Paterson also wrote Bridge to Terabithia.
Then there is also...
Gee, and at the next interview, Rowling's going to state that Snape was a bi, and was jealous of Harry and Dumbledore's friendship, because Snape and Dumbledore had something going on?!?
That is so sad to state some b.s. like that after the book is done with!
