Sorry, I must say I have to disagree! The beauty of a piece of art, I believe, can be found in either the physical work itself, or within the concept that a piece of art is representing. My favorite modern artist is Damien Hirst. His artwork features rotting carcasses, preserved animals...
Alex from A Clockwork Orange. LOL. You just have to love how he rapes a woman in front of her husband. And how he seduces ten yr old girls. And the music, the music! :p
Sometimes I almost think I have ADD. I'll like a book, not love it, but it'll be alright, and I'll end up putting it down somewhere and not feel like reading it anymore. I might have become one of those lazy Americans who would rather have the story told to them, and go for the T.V. instead...
A film that really made me question reality is a semi-animated movie called "Waking Life". The movie has many different scenes in it, each portraying the differrent realities of many ppl. They discuss philosophical, physical, and mental explanations for life, and they don't waste any time...
O gosh, I think about that. I actually saw her last night. It's a good thing she's there to tell all those stoopid ppl how to take care of themselves. I once had a sign that said "stupid people shouldn't breed". If only this could apply to real life...
I don't really dream about myself dying. I do have dreams about having to go on the toilet in public though, like I'll have to use the toilet and the only one I'll be able to find will be right in the middle of a public area...maybe it means I don't like exposing who I am
Dreams are also a way...
I know this subject might be old, but its been on my mind since I woke up this morning. I had a fantasy dream about a guy who knew how to turn me on, very rare indeed. And I've been almost wishing that I could sleep forever and live my life with this person, or at least meet them in real life...
Ich kämpfe, how do you get poetic rhythm if you don't vocalize the words in your mind? Your little skill almost makes it seem like you learned how to read before you learned how to speak...
getting along really starts with taking the individual responsibility of putting the site's interets before our own personal agenda to be right. i assume that all the "heavy posters" have stayed because they love the site. so in order to keep the site flourishing, they need to contribute...
I'm doing this for you, Motokid
okay, as a newer member, and as a person with common sense, I am critical of other ppl's comments. I know that anyone on the net is just gonna say whatever is on their mind at the time. Ppl have different moods all of the time, and it is easily reflected through...
well thanks, moto and laboi.
As for the meaning of the poem, i used the "you" when i refer to the person who died. Im hurt by his absence, but i keep reflecting on his absence, willfully feeling the pain as he slowly disappears, relying on photographs to keep him alive in my mind. The...
Ephemeral
I suffer from the anguish of allowing your second death,
The corroding memories of your former being fade;
Conscious of your absence, I reminisce on lingering illusions.
Though I struggle to prevent you from wasting away,
Like the thin and dangling vein of a stem
Saving a...
I see where you're going with this, maybe because the storyline reminded me so much of "Araby" from James Joyce's Dubliners, in which he masters the capability of psychological change within the short story. The twist at the end of his story, however, is that the boy in love with the stranger...
