Hi Sellsword
You have heard correct bout Sandstorm & Jim's writing has improved by leaps & MOB is even better
btw i'm also a Clemens fan, so have you read Shadowfall?
Storm
my fav authors!
My author list would include:
- Jeffrey Deaver
- Thomas Harris
- Phillip Margolin
- Arthur Conan Doyle
- P. J. Tracy
- Ken Follett
- Mario Puzo
Hi Worm
James Rollins is a good writer IMO, he writes adventure fiction & tech-thrillers in the style of Matthew Reilly, Jack DuBrul,Steve Alten, etc...
his strong point is that the environment is also a strong character by itself as seen in almost all his books...
I just read an awesome book called "The Traveller" by John Twelve Hawks
its a little hard to describe but the best way to sum it up as 1 review says "The matrix meets 1984 meets Alias"
i dont quite agree with that but the book has a very intriguing storyline & a very, very paranoid...
J.R.R.Tolkien
I don't hate him but i don't like him either, LOTR was a book with good & bad parts[the ending is one of the worst IMO]
but hey he was a trendsetter & you can love/hate him but you can't ignore him :)
hey pearl why don't you give David Gemmell & James...
Hi Jess
for me the entire story was confusing with characters such as Howard, peter & Wynand, i didn't get what she was trying to tell thro' that book
give it a try mebbe u"ll like it as i have heard that there are 2 kinds of opinions bout Ayn Rand...
J. Deaver
Hi Morry
The movie's good, it one of hollywoods better adaptations but the novel's even better
also check out the entire Lincoln Rhyme series:
- The bone collector
- The coffin Dancer
- The empty chair
- The stone monkey
- The vanished man
-...
Mo Hayder
i have read the sequel to "birdman" & it was too brutal for my liking & IMO she's an above average writer so if you give her a miss its ok
ps:try Jeffrey Deaver or Phillip Margolin
worst book!
For me that would be " the fountainhead" by Ayn Rand[what was she trying to tell ??????????   ]
and secondly "Decipher" by Stel Pavlov, this book is so bad, coz there is no connectivity between chapters & the storyline goes from...
Fantasy first!
My first fantasy series was when i was 7-8 years old & it was "the wizard of oz" by L.Frank Baum & i 'm trying to collect the rest of his OZ books
Litany if you liked Gemmell then give James Clemens a try with his "Banned & Banished" series
new author!
Hey zolipara
give James Clemens a try & hopefully you wont be dissapointed
btw totally agree with you on TB'S "Sword of Shannara" looked like a minitaurized version of "The lord of the rings"
Here are some more books for you Rune
The chronicles of blood & stone by Robert Newcomb:
- The fifth Sorceress
- The gates of dawn
- The scrolls of the ancients
The world & void series by Terrry Brooks
Garden of beasts
Hey demetrio
you are totally correct there pal, coz it is a WW2 book with a different storyline also there is a link to the lincoln Rhyme/Amelia Sachs series in it
did you get it!!!!!!111
hi!
Hi pr1008
why dont you try out "Map of bones" by James Rollins, its very similar to "angels & demons"
also Matthew Reilly is coming out with a new book "the 7 ancient wonders" by the end of this year, which stars the 7 wonders of the ancient times
