Send the work to yourself in an e-mail (not an attachment, the e-mail itself, which may mean as a text document. Copy and paste it to the e-mail) and immediately save it to a CD-R. that has four separate points where time is established, and is accepted in court.
I would also suggest Lulu (...
L-lysine is something I've taken daily (500mg) since the studies that proved its effectiveness against herpes cold sores in 1996. It is very effective if you limit other amino acids, such as cysteine. For my indicidual case, nuts and cheese will render l-lysine inneffective, so I avoid them...
Welcome, Joel --
I'm spending my time putting some of my own books in various genres on Lulu, so haven't had time for the forums recently.
I'm part owner of a castle in England. My family went there from Germany to escape Suleyman I and married somebody in the then royal family, caused a...
Hey! Thnx for the plug, Rexie!
I found Carr a bit tedious, too, and his solutions a bit obvious in some, but he did a few that were exceptional.
Rohmer, I agree. A true master of mood. You have to remember that those were written in another politico-social time. We had WWII and "The Yellow...
I have a number of books available as e-books. I have noticed a big increase in sales the past year as people become aware of the advantages, not the least of which is that you can literally carrya library around with you. Reading from a comp screen allows you to set the brightness and contrast...
My niece sent me these. I think they should be shared.
GEORGE CARLIN POST 9-11 (His wife recently died...)
A wonderful Message by George Carlin:
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings
but shorter tempers, wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints.
We...
You should not swallow any mouthwash. Clorox is no more dangerous than most of them if used properly, and saying that about dilution seems strange, seeing as common table salt is toxic in high concentration. Almost any medicine, certainly any wide-spectrum antibiotic, is deadly if not diluted to...
No joke, and Calcium hypochlorite (Clorox) is the same chemical used to "chlorinate" water for eighty years or so. Clorox is about 5% now, I bellieve. It's a strong oxidizer, and is effective against many viruses and almost all bacteria.
If you're allergic to chlorine, don't try it, of...
That's a myth. We use only about twenty percent for cognitive thought. The rest of it does unimportant things like keeping us breathing, seeing, hearing, feeling, etc. The brain doesn't have a delete or wipe switch, so a very large part of it is used for data storage we call memory.
Welcome
I was just reading an old Fu Manchu (Sax Rhomer) book from downstairs. I don't know what is so magnetic about them, but I'll probably re-read the twenty or so down there. I'd recommend them to anyone who likes sort of far out mystery/SciFi -- if you can find them anymore.
Welcome
To get your son hooked on reading will depend on letting him select what he wants to read, and not stuff with a "message" that the author keeps smacking him over the head with (Even when the author ends sentences with prepositions). The voice of experience from both sides of that...
This will sound yucky -- and tastes worse! -- but it works better than anything I've ever found.
1/2 Clorox & 1/2 water: gargle.
Also clears up everything from trench mouth to chancre, but it can really burn on some of them.
DON'T swallow it. It probably wouldn't do any real harm, but I...
I went to retro 50's diners in the fifties! Some were great, some were what we called "greasy spoons". My favorites were things like "Dog & Suds" drive-ins. LOVED drive-in movies, where you could take your girl and make out (oh so naughty then) during the show.
You young-uns today don't get...
