It is a pretty good marketing ploy though. I always find tons of these books in the second hand stores shortly after the movie comes out. People rush out to buy the book after seeing the movie and are disappointed that it is...
I like digging through the old topics once in awhile. Interesting to see what people were talking about at different times. If the space is there, I say keep them around.
I received a $50 gift card to Chapters from the company I work for. Have not decided which books I will get with it though. Lots on my want list, just have to decide which ones to get. It doesn't take many to hit $50
A week to go. How long do you anticipate being in the hospital? Will you be able to get on the net while there and keep us posted as to how it went and how you are doing? Best wishes for a smooth operation and speedy recovery.
I buy all my books, that way I am not rushed to finish reading by a certain date. I can also leave the book sit on my shelf for awhile until I get around to reading it. I do buy about 99% of my books at the used bookstores, so it really doesn't cost much. I can pick up anywhere between 3 and 6...
I am 40, turning 41 in a month. I have loved reading since I was probably 9 or 10 when I was introduced to The Hardy Boys - I still have the whole collection on my bookshelf. There was a short time in my mid 30's I didn't read much - but now I am back to reading as much as ever.
