Dan Brown: The Da Vinci Code

i read over what i've posted before on this thread, and well, i must say my opinion changed a bit. I've done some research and reading into some of the mistakes dan brown made, and i also now find out a bit, for lack of a better adjective, annoying, reading 400 pages of them traveling around 2...

    Dan Brown - Under Oath?

i looked up some of perdue's ooks on amazon. I might read one of them to compare to da vinci code, but i'll get it from the library, thank you very much. However, if you go into a bookstore, for example borders, most of them have a huge display of da vinci code related books -da vinci code...

    Alexandre Dumas: The Three Musketeers

ok, well, he's definately the son of milady, but i don't know about athos, but i was guessing that he is. I'm not sure though. I kinda thought Raoul is the son of athos, but i don't know, there's so much mystery! but yeah, i agree with you. 20 years after is good, but it's not AS good as the...

    Alexandre Dumas: The Three Musketeers

i've just finished the 2nd part of the musketeers saga(20 years after), and i must say I am amazed. I tend to get very emotional over dumas's books. And..well, I cried at the end. I was very nerve wracking to read at the beggining how athos and aramis were from a different party then porthos and...

Alexandre Dumas: The Count Of Monte Cristo

well, it took me about a month to read it because he was so long. it was my first dumas book. It took me a month because...

Dan Brown: The Da Vinci Code

I just read on the thread that the point of a discussion is to gather a variety of opinions. However, those opinions seem to be mostly about unrelated things. Is there any chance we could try to get back on topic?

    book box?

I did it. I cut out part of a book to use as a secret place. Its a children's dictionary I dont' use very much anymore, i use webster's complete one now, so it's not that big of a deal, but actually defacing a book...

    1984?

well, i just enjoyed orwell's irony and his descriptions of the woeld that the two characters lived in, the explanations of the slogans(peace is war, etc...) and the ending took me a bit by surprise.

    1984?

yeah, i finished it too, about a week ago. it was good. yeah, i know not a very descriptive word.

    book box?

lol, parents. well, yeah, i kinda wanna hide it from parents and also friends, and i just think it would be kind of cool. not that i'm especting burglars or anything, especially because a 14 year old probably won't have something valable enough to steal by going through all my books.
