I SOOO agree! I didn't like the ending much, and I was expecting much more, therefore I was a little dissapointed, since the first half was superb.

I'm no fan of suspence/crime/thrillers, but I loved "Beloved Poona" by Karin Fossum. Think you should try it. :)

I remember having read one of his books: "Jack and Jill". I think it was well written, but just not my type of book, interesting though.

I don't look at it the way you do. I don't work. But I'm studying to become something some day. When I will go out to work, I'm pretty sure (and I hope) I won't do it just for the money's sake, because I'm not studying just for the sake of studying. I have an interest in what I'm studying...
