    king kong

In my opinion, King Kong was terrible. Even my beloved Jack Black was as pine as my swedish desk. I, at no point, felt any emotion for anyone, cared or was vaguely interested. The part with beetles was completely unnecessary. The film was far too long, showing false confidence.

    Playboy

I've never owned a 'Playboy', but I doubted they were for reading... If you get my drift.

    Laugh Out Loud Funny

I was on a train to Edinburgh and spat a tuna sandwich at someone while laughing at The Timewaster Letters - Robin Cooper. Genius.

Mark Haddon: The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nighttime

the book is very left wing, which raises some eyebrows as to why it has won so many awards. I enjoyed the book, although after a few chapters the interest in the person's life faded. I would not have batted an eyelid had he been beaten to death with a spade. Maybe im just horrible.

    False Impression By Jeffrey Archer

I read some of his prison diaries, then thought. Archer is in prison for purgery, so why am I reading this Dan Brown -esque filth?

    Bram Stoker: Dracula

I really loved the suspense in Dracula, the way that the plot was conveyed by form of various media. Any descriptions of Dracula were artistic and tasteful. He always lurked in the shadows. One part that baffled me was that the girl in the story - Jenny, I think ( though I really should know) -...

    Bartimaeus

What is the name of the third book? TheAofS and TheGE were really enjoyable, following along similar lines to Harry Potter; wizards and mystical beings exist in modern life, but have lives of secrecy. I went to one of Stroud's talk at the Edinburgh Book Festival, he seemed much more kind and...

    Garth Nix - Childen's Fiction

I've read Lirael, Sabriel and Abhorsen and liked them all. The book was surprising advanced to be marketed as a childrens' book. Sadly, I though that it was a bit of a rip off from Lord of The Rings. Despite the main charachter being a heroin, I was waiting for Gollum to try and steal a ring of...

Mark Haddon: The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nighttime

There was a great parody of The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night Time or however it is punctuated. Its called the curious incident of the weapons of mass destruction. Like Dog in The Night Time, it is written in a simple , first person narrative - of Tony Blair! The cover boasts that it...

    Artemis Fowl

hahahahahahahaha fantastic! I've read 1 - 3, but though the book was quite shallow - and had predictable plot lines.

What's wrong with the public library?

It could be a horror film scaring dentists and promoting teeth care!

    Nick Hornby

About a Boy was a cleverly written book, which looks into the awkwardnesses in peoples' lives. Fever Pitch really got into the minds of supporters, and A Long Way Down was on a depressing topic, but a film will definitely be made soon.

    Bram Stoker: Dracula

Dracula has to be my favourite book. By a very long way. I finished it at about 4 in the morning. Though 'wow', then picked it up and read it 2 more times during the next day.
