It's a shame to see so few fantasy books added for reviewing on the site.
I post any new books that I get now and review them as soon as I get them read. I was surprised when I saw this put me up as a member with the most posted reviews
Is no one else that interested in posting...
There are a few authors you could try reading, most of the ones I am going to list are into series too, so quite often they have a lot of books to go at :)
Robin Hobb - has been mentioned already but I can definately 2nd the recommendation.
Jim Butcher - good storytelling without being...
Which books stood out for you for 2003. It was a difficult list for me to pull together as I have read quite a lot last year. But, in the end I managed.
Here's my list:-
The Tawny Man Series - all three books, - Robin Hobb
A Caress if Twilight - Laurell Hamilton
Guilty Pleasures -...
I've only read Lord of the Rings and The hobbit . I didnt finish the Hobbit because it bored me to death.

I havent been disappointed in Brook's books until this one. I have really enjoyed his characters and loved how he uses magic in his plots. But I felt this book should have concentrated more on the Isle Witch character instead of flying off into a different direction :(

I didnt care much for...
I hadnt read anything by this author before and was very pleasantly surprised after finishing this book.
It had a different feel to any other fantasy I have read before and I found the oriental theme in the story refreshing too.
Has anyone else got any thoughts on this book?

This is the first book I have read by this author. I had mixed feelings about the story.
Some parts I really enjoyed and others just dragged.
Anyone else read it?

I havent read all of these books, but I didnt care much for Elfsorrow. James Barclays doesnt grab my attention.
I did like The Usurpers Crown, a relatively little known author but very good. The last in this series was released at the end of last year :)
The Tawny Man series I felt was...
Are you managing to get anything read during the run up to the festive hols?
I'm half way through The Weavers of Saramyr, which is quite interesting, so far.
