I just found out about a site similar to Amazon that some of you may be interested in - they offer free international shipping on everything, with no minimum order required. I believe that their product pricings are similar to that of Amazon.
The Book Depository.
Happy Buying :D
Athena, from Greek mythology. I just found her stories the most interesting, and of course I have always been interested in knowledge and learning (but not so much the war part..).
What subject are/were you best at at school?
I lie quite a bit to get out of working extra and covering up for not doing homework - just silly stuff like that. I also lie to people and tell them that they look good when they don't etc because I can't tell people that they look horrible.
I actually do the opposite. If I was the one that...
This hasn't happened to me so far, as I usually avoid binge-reading. I split up my reading time with visiting forums, playing video games and sport so that I don't get burned out.
I recall this happened to you in around March last year as well. Are you burned out after all that reading in 2007, or have you just been too busy to get in any decent reading?

I've been wanting to re-read the series, as I think that the books would...
A Breath of Snow and Ashes by Diana Gabladon (2005)
Beginning where The Fiery Cross left off, the latest installment of the Outlander series follows Jamie and Claire as they tackle potentially their biggest threat yet - the American Revolution. A Breath of Snow and Ashes takes place during the...
Unhealthy obessions are usually the norm here at BAR :D
I'm just starting actually, and have really, really enjoyed the first two - I liked the second better than the first, which isn't very usual for me. I've heard that things start going a bit downhill after book 5, but I'm planning on...
I found a few interesting ones in the latest Reader's Digest:
Matt Lucas, of Little Britain fame, went bald of shock at the age of 6 after being hit by a car.
The average person in a bookstore spends 8 seconds looking at the cover of a book and a further 15 seconds reading the back.
What did you read during January?
I finished:
The Great Hunt (Wheel of Time Book 2) by Robert Jordan 681 pages
Matthew Flinders' Cat by Bryce Courtenay 610 pages
Pride of Carthage by David Anthony Durham 586 pages
Watermelon by Marian Keyes 614 pages
A Breath of Snow and Ashes by Diana...
I like the idea of Can't Win 'Em All, and perhaps we could do certain countries ie suggested books must be written by authors from a nominated country.
