I second Hitchikers Guide...definitely one of the funniest series of books I've read.

I know it happens, but I read to escape the world, not to endure its evils. And rape probably isn't as sickening to you, because you're not a female. Yes, men can be raped as well, but woman are usually the victims. The thought of violence towards people sickens me...therefore, I don't read it.

I only get one, because they cost money...then I predominantly buy my books at that one bookstore (be it in the store or online), unless I'm shopping for secondhand books.

OOTP is ok, but I don't feel it lives up to the other books...long-winded is definitely a good term for it. The action picks up a bit, but overall, I was unimpressed.

I will not read a book with a rape scene or any sexual assault...it just sickens me. Books with people killing others for fun I avoid as well (I do not read horror).

I have a book by her, but have yet to read it. You might also like Katherine Hall Page...and her recipes at the back (the one's I've tried) are good. I know there are a few other cook/mysteries out there, but I've not read them.
