November 2010: Orson Scott Card: Ender's Game

I thought it was okay. I don't know if the ending surprised me one bit. I was expecting something like that but it wasn't out of left field for me. I know I've heard it from several people that it caught them off guard but I guess I kinda had to look out for it since people were telling me...

What is your all time favourite Crime, Mystery or Thriller?

I don't have a problem with the profanity but to me it seems like Mr. Burke is using the profanity in this book as a pissing contest to see whose's insults are better. Like I mention earlier I don't have a problem with it but when every characters is shouting profanity to see who is the bigger...

Pontalba, Which one do you recommend after Neon Light. I'm going to give James Lee Burke another try just because I've been hearing lots of good things about him and his written is easy to read and has some potential.

What is your all time favourite Crime, Mystery or Thriller?

Well I started reading James Lee Burke's Neon Rain and have to say it's interesting so far. He tends to go overboard with the cuss words and in particular this one he uses the N word quite a bit. I haven't finish it yet but when I finish this one then I will give another of his book of his a...

    Last seen...

The Karate Kid - The first hour was basically a remake of the original then the last hour pretty much was totally different. I enjoyed it but it wasn't as good as the original and the soundtrack wasn't there either. 7/10

    Micheal Connelly: Angel's Flight

This is another great book from him. I agree the ending was very sad and I did not see it going in that direction. I think you will enjoy Echo Park which is one of my favorite from Connelly. I just finished the Scarecrow and it was very good.

    Micheal Crichton: Prey

I thought this was one of Crichton's weaker efforts. Yes I thought the ending was a little rush and I knew how it would end. I want to read his newest one about the Pirates but felt Crichton's best work are his earlier works which include Sphere, Congo, Jurassic Park, Terminal Man, and...
