I usually read in the bath tub - this is about the only place I can get away from my 2 toddlers and my newborn for more than 5 minutes. I also enjoy reading in bed before sleeping or early morning. I find myself reading while breastfeeding the little one. So I guess I read pretty much anytime...
I am presently reading The Elder Gods by Eddings also reading Haunted by Dorah L. Williams. As always I am completly captivated by Eddings and would recommend it to others. Haunted is good and simple read could be interesting for others who like the world of paranormal and ghosts.
I agree witht he decent horror for October King or Koontz doesn't really matter both are easy reads. I have never read Barker so this would be a new author for me to discover. I also agree with the christmasy suggestion for december maybe "Winter Soltice" cannot remeber the author of the top...
I am not a ig fan of short stories ... guess I like to spend time getting familliar with characters. Usually the short story ends before I actually feel comfortable with the characters or the plot. That being said... I do have some short stories from HP Lovecraft, I also have some short ghost...
I would have to say that David & Leigh Eddings, Mercedes Lackey, Marion zimmer Bradley & Tolkein are my all time favorite authors.
I have recenlty started reading some Sara Douglas and I have to admit that I rather enjoy her material....in time she just might also be one of my favorites :)
My first Fantasy series was the Belgariad and I just loved it to this day Eddings is still one of my favorite fantasy writer. I also enjoy Marion Zimmer Bradley, Mercedes Lackey, Sara Douglas and of course Tolkein...all of these authors offer a wonderful introduction into the deep world of...
Hi there I would recommend some David Eddings the Belgariad is in a medieval setting, lots of magic and good humour. If you want more knigthly action you can always go with the Elenium series ;)
I browse my collection, friends collections, bookstores - I am also a book stalker and I find something that fits the moment. OR grab something to fill in "non-busy" hours at work :)
I have finished my Elenium trilogy and a friend of mine leant me a copy of the wayfarer redemption by sara douglas and to be honest I am having quite a difficulty adapting to her writting style.
I mostly read fantasy books and some horror. My most read authors are David Eddings, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Mercedes Lackey, Dean Koonz and Stephen King. Not to forget Tolkein.
First timer
Hi there,
This is my first time using a forum. I am 26 years old mother of 2 and I enjoy to spend my "free" time curling up with a good book. I am presently re-reading the Elenium Trilogy.
