Has anyone else seen this yet? I found it extremely funny but very, very gory. I haven't seen Shaun of the Dead. Maybe if I had, I would have known what to expect :eek: Not sure if it has been released outside the UK so sorry if you have no idea what I'm talking about (a little British film).
Barry gives us the story of Willie Dunne, a young man who leaves Dublin to fight in the First World War. It provides a harrowing image of life in the trenches. Barry's description of mustard gas was especially memorable for me:

Is anyone going to the Hay on Wye festival at the end of May? I'm thinking of going along but can't decide which day to go. I'd love to hear Philip Pullman though.

I don't know if anyone knows this book but it involves a parrot in a parcel and it's such a lovely story. I read it as a child and I seem to remember it was by Gerald Durrell but all the Durrell books I have found are nothing like it so maybe I am completely wrong.
I can't remember much more...
