    Oldest book you own?

I have a copy of 1984 that is literally falling apart, it was my mother's before I had it, and I think she had it when she was young, so I guess it's about 40 years old or so. It's really difficult when I go back to read it again as I have to be so careful with the pages

    Worst or most disappointing book?

I tried reading The Lovely Bones a few years ago upon seeing it was quite highly rated, I just couldn't get into at all, I found it to be very slow. I think they've made a movie of it now

What kind of reader are you?

I'm generally reading on the train, I like to read thirty pages on way to work and thirty pages on the way home again, and maybe a few more on my lunch break. At least then I know I'm getting through books at a fairly steady pace

    Your stake in the ground?

I'm quite lazy, so it's dog-ears for me as well

    Favourite reads, growing up?

I lost count of the amount of times I read James and The Giant Peach, absolutely loved it. Good shout on Danny the Champion of the World, very underrated Roald Dahl book

    Books you didn't finish

A book I'm having trouble finishing right now is Half of a Yellow Sun. The narrative is dragging along and it just misses that page-turner effect. I'm also a fan of a linear narrative rather than one that jumps backwards and forwards
