I liked them a lot. I didn't like them for the romance, but I enjoyed that a little, it added to the story and emotions. I was rely in them for the action, but it is now one of my favorite series.

I have only read 2 book Marlfox and Taggerung, I loved them. I tried listening to Mattimeo on a CD and started Taggerung on it too, but it sucked. I would definitely just read them.

I am probably around your son's age, I liked the Brian Jacques, but some of them are boring. I think he would like Skullduggery Pleasant, The ranger's aprentice, and the warriors series(into the wild, Fire and ice,etc.) theyy are some of my favorite books.

I would definitely recommend Stephenie Meyer's twilight, it is amazing. I also recommend Skullduggery Pleasant, it is a thriller and mystery.I read it in 2 days, it was so captivating.
