    Who is your favourite author, and why?

    I am very absorbed in reading Dostoevsky at the moment and I really enjoy it, not sure if he could be called my favorite author; I will have to read a few more of his books :).

    In Canada we get the British versions of the book, we probably get the American versions too but I have never seen them. All it is is British slang as opposed to our slang.

    I am interested in developing skills as a writer too; not that I wish to pursue it as a career but it would always be nice to be able to express myself in a well written and interesting manner all the time. Would this book be of assistance or are there others that you would recommend?
