I've read some books from these guys and I'd like to check out the Pendergrast novels. A friend just gave me Brimstone and I'd like to read it but it's out of order... should I be reading these in order or are they OK by themselves?
Thanks
My daughter is 10 and my son is 7. I've read them lots of books all through their lives and right now I'm reading Eragon to them. This is the first book I've read to both of them at once and it's going really well... we're about 3/4 of the way through and they are really enjoying it - well, so...
Mount Dragon by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child:
"The sounds drifted over the long green lawn, so faint they could have been the crying of ravens in the nearby wood, or the distant braying of a mule on the farm across the brown river."
In my opinion, these are the best bookmarks you can get... they're all I use:

I didn't read through the whole thread, forgive me if these have been posted already.
Has anyone read this? I'm about 2/3 through and I just love it. It's the first in a series of 3 books and I already can't wait to read the others. Ufortunately, I'll be waiting awhile since they're not out in paperback yet
Here is the book summary from his website:

I just finished reading Deep Storm and I loved it. I was a very hard book to put down. Child is tricky, he made the chapters very short... I kept saying to myself: OK, just one more chapter ;)
I'm looking forward to reading more of his work along with the books he's cowritten with Douglas...
I've read several books in the Ender series and The Lost Boys. Loved them all. I've just started Magic Street and so far, I really like it. I love his writing style.
Well, I finally finished it! Great book.
I'm amazed how hard it is to find the time to read with my little rugrats always bugging me
Now that my kids have noticed me reading, they are doing more reading as well... my 10 year old daughter has started Inkheart and she seems to be...
Does any like Joseph Finder novels?
I read Paranoia a couple years back and I loved it. I'd really like a suggestion on another of his books that might be just as good?
Thanks
Jay
I know this an old thread but I did a search for Joseph Finder and found it.
I also read "Paranoia" and loved it.
Another spy book I read was "Fallback" by Peter Niesewand many years ago and I loved that as well. In fact, I'm going to get a copy of that and read it again. I remember my...
beer good, thanks for the reply. One of his best huh? That's encouraging!
I haven't read many Stephen King books but I've liked all that I've read.
The Dreamcatcher
Bag of Bones
Salem's Lot
The first 3 books in the Dark Tower series
The Gunslinger
The Drawing of Three
The...
Thank you for the reply.
I started the book tonight and I've read a few chapters. Nothing much has happened so far but I really like the characters.
It was easier than I thought to make some time for reading, I'm glad I was able to do it.
Hello all, new member here - 1st post.
I have always loved to read but it's been years since I've had time. A few years back I joined Audible and listened to a good many audio books but it really started distracting me from my work (I work at home) so I gave it up. I want to start making the...
