Do you read in the toilet, and what reading material usually goes in there?

Sometimes I make the mistake of bringing something really good, then it takes me three months to finish a book! As for what I typically read, anything I can get my hands on: shampoo bottle, toothpaste tube, whatever's in reach. Currently it's Meet Me in the Green Glen, by Robert Penn Warren.

    Favourite Reading Places

I'd guess I'm likely the only one who does most of his reading at work. :D I've been known to knock out 250 pages or more in a shift!

    Hola from Sunny San Diego

Thanks all. Growing up with an English professor Grandfather, not much stock was placed in fiction, especially some of the high-volume commercial fiction that appeals to me. That's not to say I didn't enjoy the heck out of them. I guess by substance I meant I didn't read many "classics."...

Hello all. I just joined today and so far have loved browsing your forum. Lots of keen minds here. As far as my reading taste, most would feel I've yet to read much of substance as I stick to fiction mostly such as Grisham, Cook, King, L'amour, or McMurtry and the like. In fact, most of what...

    John Grisham

The first of his I read was The Testament a few years ago and I've been hooked ever since. A Painted House was a nice departure from the legal arena and was filled with emotion his legal novels have yet to grasp. Most recently I blazed through The King Of Torts and The Runaway Jury. There...

What do you use as a bookmark?

I don't know why but I've never used bookmarks. I usually glance at the page before putting it down. Sometimes I forget and I have to do a little hunting, but that can sometimes be a good thing as it gives me a quick refresher before I get back into reading. Especially helpful if I'm going...
