    Do you read series?

    I agree. However I love mystery series. Each book conveys a new crime but with the same detective developed over the course of 10 to 15 books.

    It helps to imagine yourself as the protagonist and as the antagonist. Imagine how they move, think, and feel. What are their backgrounds and history? And then write the scene from both point of views. That way you can be sure to make each scene realistic no matter which point of view you choose...

    You know it is funny. I have never read an Inspector Morse mystery even though I have seen all the TV adaptations of the character. I will give it a try.
