It helps to imagine yourself as the protagonist and as the antagonist. Imagine how they move, think, and feel. What are their backgrounds and history? And then write the scene from both point of views. That way you can be sure to make each scene realistic no matter which point of view you choose...
Does anyone feel a little guilty for liking the books or TV show? I find myself thinking that he should be caught but hoping he doesn't. I console myself with the knowledge that the Dexter character is so far afield from actual serial killers that it is like hoping your favorite vampire doesn't...
You know it is funny. I have never read an Inspector Morse mystery even though I have seen all the TV adaptations of the character. I will give it a try.
