"the silver kiss" by Annette Curtis Klause, but it's maybe more for children.

Now I have read it, I can tell you that Stardust by Neil Gaiman is a very good fantasy book, without any battle! (thank you SillyWabbit! ) :)

I read once sci fi short stories by Orson Scott Card, but I can't remember the titles. It was very strange, you see life differently after that... :)
