I was going to go to that, but I'm glad I didn't. Rose has fired every single member of the old band, by himself, and plenty of replacement members to boot. It's not guns and roses, it's Axly Rose playing Guns and Rose's old stuff, along with other hired players.

If all else fails, try David Eddings' Belgariad. They're none to original, but if you like dry humour, they're full of it. He makes some very funny characterisations, and hilariious dialogue.

Have you tried outlining? It's saving me with my current novel. When I get stuck with a novel, I have a habit of pushing forward doggedly, with as I said before, is often at the expense of my manuscript. You have to have a clear vision of where you are going, and outlining helps that. =)
