thanks. thats actually the book I was looking at picking up, but wasn't too sure. I've got a stack of books to read first, so i might just hold off for a while. Though I'm sure I'll pick it up at some point.

I saw it in an earlier post: Raise the Red Lantern I've looked and looked, but you just cant find this movie in canada. Nobody can seem to find it or bring it in for me. It was so good. i watched it on Showcase one night when i couldn't sleep and was utterly enthrawled. beautiful movie.

nah, not really. I'm just starting here today. I havent been a member of a forum for about 3 years now and i think its time to start again. Plus I'm always looking for new books to read so this seems like the place to be. Yup. True story. I swear.

Only magazine I subscribe to is Adbusters. Sometimes its a bit over the top, but I love a lot of the articles they pick up, and the way they're willing to attack everyone both left and right. Also the design of the magazine is always top notch and really interesting.
