o my god.. i think that there's a problem...
cannella and me had the same teacher, she told us thousand of time the story of the iceberg and bla bla bla, like your
and..
SHE EXPLAINED US THE MEANING OF "hills like white elephant" AND WE WERE SHOCKED TOO!!
maybe your teacher's name is elena...
No, i didn't finish it, i couldn't..
Italy is a strange place, Blue and BackStreetBoys have written 2 songs in italian and i think that it's enough to understand this state :(
marquez's book is surreal and i like it because of it is like that
100 colpi di spazzola prima di andare a dormire is the only one book in all my life that i've throw away.. the worst book that i've ever read..
i liked the last marquez's book because of the protagonist. i liked the old man who think of his past and he has regrets for how he spent his life...
for me it's different, i LOVE my teacher!
and i liked other books that she gave me (the catcher in the rye / bright light, big city / of mice and men / singer's stories / les echelles du levant / the commitments / ...)
i know what he said about his writing...
i'm sorry but i can't chage my idea, the characters change but the structure is always the same!
maybe in the future i read again something and i will like him.. i think it's hard but..
i think that i don't have a fav author... my fav books are uto and due di due (andrea de carlo), cal (mclaverty), les fleur du mal (charles baudelaire) macbeth, romeo and juliet, hamlet (shakespeare), poe's stories, ti prendo e ti porto via (ammaniti), gli amori difficili (calvino), the great...
i'm a new member... a friend of mine have found this forum so i decided to visit it! i love it just because i love reading... :)
i'm very young, i'm italian and my english is not good.. these are problems :D i hope that you can understand everything..
i think it's one of my fav books...
Holden is a fantastic character and i think that everyone of us would have had a teacher as antolini...
i loved when holden is talking about the boy who jumped out of the window and mr antolini covered his body with his raincoat and that he wanted to die but...
i just hate him and his books.
I've read the 49 stories, fiesta and the old man and the see... They are very boring even because i had to read his books because of my teacher...
There's always the same structure, the young boy and the old man who teach him something or the sweet lady...
