    Favourite reads, growing up?

I loved Roald Dahl. I think my favorite was The Witches. I also probably had every Goosebumps book out there.

    Literary Christmas Traditions

We don't really have any family traditions related to books except that we used to always read Santa's Twin and try to find the snowman on each page. I still enjoy looking at the art in that book. For myself, I always read Skipping Christmas around Thanksgiving and I read A Christmas Carol...

    Teen Fiction

Well, I've heard that Stephenie Meyer's Twilight books are supposed to be great although I've never actually read them. Have you ever tried Meg Cabot? She is the author of the Princess Diaries (my guilty pleasure) and those are actually pretty cute and funny. You say you like mystery and...

What I'm in the mood to read

I can't think of anything, but I love Lost so let us know if you get any good recommendations. You might want to try doing a search on a Lost forum though.

H.P.& The Deathly Hallows midnight party-to go or not to go?

I'm 16 and I always go to the parties. I think they're great! I'm not going to dress up, but I'll probably buy an HP shirt somewhere. chop chop: That's what I'm worried about. I've been reading this series and waiting to find out what happens for half of my life. I don't want it ruined by...

Children's Books you still love to read today.

I love Watership Down. Is it really classified as a children's book though? My library has it in adult fiction, and that's always how I thought of it. Not that a 12 year old couldn't read it, but I don't think I'd give it to a 9 year old.

    The Harry Potter Elimination Game

^^ Why? I'm not trying to start an argument; it's a real question. People who enjoy the same thing often discuss which characters they like and dislike (not just with the HP books). This is sort of an unofficial list of the overall character popularity among ourselves. It's just a simple...

    The Harry Potter Elimination Game

I've seen this game a lot of times in other forums and it's normal for everyone to copy and paste the list. It does take up space, but it is very easy to do and keeps it more organized. Once the game has been going for awhile it would be too much to expect everyone to count for themselves or...

    Goosebumps

I loved these books! I think I read most of them, but some favorites that I can remember right now were: The Horror at Camp Jellyjam The Curse of Camp Cold Lake- This one really scared me when I was nine Vampire Breath Welcome to Dead House- I read this one shortly before moving to a new...

The last sentence in the book you're currently reading.

Well, the last sentence in the book I just finished is: "I'm in the book." It's from the first book in The Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher.

    When do you read?

I will read anytime, but I usually read the most in the evening. In the morning I'm too tired; During the day is school; At night is my computer/family/television time. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who reads in the bath though.

Jim Butcher: The Harry Dresden Chronicles

I became addicted to the TV series after the first episode, so I've borrowed my aunt's copy of the first book. It's great so far- quick, fun, easy, and interesting! Unfortunately my library doesn't have any of the books so I'll have to buy them.

Harry Potter Seventh Book Pre-Sales Speculations and Discussions

Pre-order definitely. I always go to the midnight party at Borders with my mom, cousins, and friend. It' so much fun to hang out there for hours, and talking with complete strangers about what you think will happen. At the store we go to they hand out colors that, depending on how early you...

    Meg Cabot

I've read most of her teen books, and they're the first thing I go for when I want something light, quick, and amusing. I like The Princess Diaries, but I'm starting to find Mia a little annoying (although she is actually a pretty realistic teen girl). I really enjoyed the Mediator series (I...

    Favorite book

It's hard to play favorites with books, but recently I reread Wicked by Gregory Maguire for the third time. It's the life story of the Wicked Witch of the West, but it's not a kid's book at all (actually it would be extremely inappropriate for a child to attempt to read it). It's got underlying...

    Not a clue!

Well if you liked Harry Potter, then you might like The Inheritance Trilogy by Christopher Paolini. The first two books have already been published and the third will be out soon. The genre is fantasy and action/adventure. Although the story itself might be at a middle school level (dragon...
