Do you let an author's personal views affect your reading choices?

The only difference I make is between christian and non-christian books/authors. Christian fiction is too much for me. I can't stand the Bla. (No offense to anyone meant, just personal prefeence)

All is well. The baby is growing so fast and needs all my attention. I've read like five books this year because I'm always too tired to read. I've got a ton of pictures on Facebook. Let me know whom to add if you are registered. :-)

    Blair Witch 3

I really think humanity does not need a third Blair Witch movie.

Looks like Dante's Inferno has given premises to a new Steve Alten novel.

I love Alten's books. Can't wait for this one to be published.

    Stephen King: Under the Dome

I liked it but probably won't read it again in the next few years. It is a piece of work to get through but it offered exactly what I expected from a scenario like this. Meaning, I wasn't surprised by how the book was structured or plotwise. :-)

    Tragedy=reading less?

I'm sorry for your loss, Disenthral. :-( - Yes, I experienced the same twice. Once it was when I lost a dear friend in a car accident (I don't even remember how long it didn't even occur to me to pick up a book) and the other time is right now. I figure when your subconsciousness is busy with...

Top ten list - highest paid authors

There is nor real or unreal netween writers. Everyone finds his or her niche sooner or later. Some, like Patterson or King reach the masses more than others. That doesn't make them unreal. It makes them rich.

Need help! bonuses to be included in a limited quantity book

Well I can tell you from the get go that I wouldn't pay such an amount of money for a self published book and certainly wouldn't do it when the book is available online for free. I'm sorry but as an author myself I can tell you right now to quit dreaming.

    favorite bookmark

I've never been attached to bookmarks and usually they went lost after a while. Since I've got a green bookworm I am crazy about it. My cat loves it as well and sometimes steals it out of the book if there's an ending looking out of the pages. I have days were I'm searching the whole house for...

Read a book to your children!

We have a child on the way and I definitely plan to read to him early on. Except my grandmother I don't remember anyone in my family reading to me. I suppose my father would have read something if he'd been at home but usually he came home when I was already asleep. He took me to the library...

Stephenie Meyer: Twilight & New Moon

Yes, that was my main issue with New Moon. It bugged me quite a bit how easily Meyer implemented Bella's depressions into the plot like it is something everyone experiences. At least she should have made the plot like the voices in Bella's head were actually Edward talking to her over distance...

Stephenie Meyer: Twilight & New Moon

I've been wondering if there are any similarities between Bella and the author. :D - In the end I liked both of them and blame it on pregnancy hormones and not really wanting to read something that challenges me. :innocent:
