Great book As a Finn I've had the privilege to be well acquainted with Waltari's book. I believe he was a big fan of egytology.

    Paul Elwork: The Tea House

This one is just out. Elwork really has the gift of words. His style makes me think of E.A. Poe. What do you think? You can read the first chapter at http://www.casperianbooks.com/catalog/chapters/1-934081-07-8.html

    Who Are The Writers?

I've been writing fiction for about seven years. I've done my time on the short story circuit, but for the past four years my main focus has been my debut novel. I am glad to say that I've connected with a California-based independent publisher and the book in question will be released in early...

The Best Book You've Ever Read?

Bradbury is one of my favorite authors. I love Fahrenheit 451 and The October Country. The OC has the best short story I've ever read. It is titled The Scythe.

The Best Book You've Ever Read?

Evan S. Connell: The Diary of A Rapist It is a clever and largely unknown book with some of the best writing I've ever seen. Oh, and there is only one suggested rape. Malcolm Braly: On The Yard Kurt Vonnegut said that this is the great American prison novel. I agree with him.

    Publish or Self-publish?

That is correct. I meant that if all else fails, independents are a good secondary route.

Evan S. Connell: The Diary of A Rapist

Discovered this book just about a month ago. Didn't like the title, although there is not much evidence about the act itself. Liked Connell's style and the way he kept his "monster" human. Dark and powerful, this is a book that will haunt me for a while. Have you read it? How about any other...

    Publish or Self-publish?

If you just want to see your book come true, choose self publishing. If you dream about becoming a paid author - and are prepared to take some punishment - choose the traditional route. You might want to try independent publishers. Most of the time you can contact them directly, without an agent.

    Your country's writers.

I am Finnish and to get an idea about classic Finnish literature try this: Mika Waltari: The Egyptian The Egyptian (in Finnish Sinuhe egyptiläinen, Sinuhe the Egyptian) is a historical novel by Mika Waltari. It was first published in Finnish in 1945, and in an abridged English translation...

    Chuck Palahniuk

I have to agree that Fight Club is a bit boring. The movie is much better, although its cult status has diminished after the release of Fight Club video game. Try reading Survivor.
