I haven't seen Serenity yet (planning on it hopefully soon), but try the TV series Firefly (also from the mind of Joss Whedon), which is the precursor to the movie Serenity...very good stuff.

I loved Firefly, and Serenity.
It seems all the TV shows, (of which there are less than a handful) I watch get cancelled!
