The night offered nightmares of every kind from monsters creeping into her bedroom to finding Curt with another woman. The agony of it woke her from her sleep. She sat in bed next to her sleeping husband watching streams of moonlight dancing on the floor under the window.
Quietly, she slid from the bed placing her feet into her waiting slippers beneath her. Curt stirred, but didn’t wake. A slight chill in the room, gave her pause to put her robe on before going out into the hallway.
Entering her office room just down from the bedroom, she switched on the light. She gazed down at the notes she left the day before. Suddenly, she heard the voice again; "I hope your thinking about another victim for me. Come on write it down." Her hand rose to cover her mouth,
her eyes wide, she looked around the room. Not again, she thought, who is this?
She turned and hurried back to the bedroom.
