Bernard Cornwell - A Crowning Mercy.
Having read Cornwell before, my expectations for A Crowning Mercy were high.
He hasn't let me down yet though.
Set in the English Civil war it's both entertaining and informative.
Cornwell always researches his novels meticulously and the flavour of Civil War England is portrayed perfectly. Once I've finished it I'll be adding to this review.

It ended a bit Mills and Boon and set me on a spell of non fiction reading.
