Advice for Next Book

I found this site becuase I am too picky it seems.

I am looking for a Fantasy/Science Fiction book.

I am looking for something that is not Dragonlance or Shannara (been there already).

Some books I am suddenly looking for is something Armageddon-like on Earth, or a good Sci-Fi fantasy book.
Any advice?

Personally I loved Stephen King's The Stand. The Dark Tower series by him is good too. But if you want lots more post apocalyptic suggestions try this thread.

Try Steven Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen series, and don't be fooled by teh ridiculous U.S covers) - or R. Scott Bakker's Prince of Nothing. For more recommendations I have some listed here and here (with brief synopsis (a few months outdated, but workign on anotehr one)
