I'm making my way through this one for a second time.
Out of all of Walker's works this one was the hardest for me to get into. I tried 3 times before I was able to read it the first time.
I just finished The Color Purple, and Possessing the Secret of Joy. Temple takes place somewhere between the two.
When I finally finished it the first time I loved it. I'm enjoying even more the second time around.
I love knowing what is going on with Celie's extended family, and I love how all the stories connect to each other in some small way.
Being able to get into the world of these characters again is a treat.
