Antonio Tabucchi: The Missing Head of Damasceno Monteiro

This is the second novel I have read of his in english translation. I am so far unimpressed. Not sayin' he's not a good writer, just surprised that he's considered THE heavyweight living Italian novelist. I question the quality of his (various) English translators...
