Having just read and thoroughly enjoyed Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials Trilogy I was wondering if anyone could recommend something written in the same vein?
Well... Seventh Son by Orson Scott Card is set in a parallel universe, but that is about all I can think of...oo An Acceptable Time by Madaleine L'Engle or Of Two Minds by Carol Matas. Those are all good books, but my favorite book of all time is Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. Eragon by Christopher Paolini is good too, but not in the same vein as His Dark Materials. I am a bit obssed with Rudyard Kipling's Puck of Pook's Hill (read it if you can find it, toook me a year to get my hands on a copy).
