Automatically Subscribed

I guess it's an "ok" thing to be automatically subscribed to a thread I have posted in, but suppose I don't like it, over time?

Is there any way to change my options so that I can CHOOSE to "subscribe" to a particular thread, instead of being subscribed by default?

Sure. Instead of using the quick reply at the bottom of the page, click on the Post Reply button. Under the text box there is a section called Thread Subscription. Choose your subscription options from the dropdown box.

From the User CP you can also manage what threads you are subscribed to.
