Avatar in forum and library

Silly little question for Darren.

I've recently changed my avatar, but when I was browsing through the library-section of this site, I noticed that above my bookreviews my old avatar is still shown. Why is that?

Cheers, Martin :D

I wouldn't know, I know nothing concerning computers.

Anyway, it doesn't matter, 'cause I like my old avatar too!

Thanks for your reply.

Martin,

I see your new Avatar too.

When you go to a website, things such as images are placed on your PC inside a 'cache' file which is usually called 'Temporary Internet Files' in your windows folder. This happens so that next time you go to that page it will load quicker as the image is taken from your PC and not the internet.

To update it, you could probably just go to the Library page and refresh it (F5). If this doesn't work you can try clearning the cache files by either deleting things manually from the Temporary Internet Files folder or from using your browser to go to Tools>Internet Options and then 'delete files'.

Yep, F5 worked like a charm.

Thanks, and apologies for being a computer nitwit!

Cheers, (a somewhat smarter) Martin :D
