book about rabbits

ok i just recently got back into reading and i remember someone telling me once that there is this book about rabbits.. rabbits taking on human characteristics, work in trades and whatnot. was told it is kind of a weird book but im still curious to find out for myself so if you heard of it, please post the title and author. thx much

The Redwall series by Brian Jacques has rabbit characters (and hares and mice, etc.)

I haven't read Watership Down in years and years but there were bunnies in that one, although I don't remember them working in trades.
