Can any of you recommend me a good book on alienation, but not one dating back to the stone ages (i.e. before 1950). Could you also recommend a good adventure novel? I highly enjoyed the wheel of time series if that helps. Thanks

Intel, you can try The Song of Ice and Fire series, written by George R.R Martin. But I have to warn you, there is profanity and innappropriate stuff that immature people wouldn't want to know.
