Does anyone collect old books? I mean books from 1800 back? Manuscripts? Anything like that?
I was just wondering how you take care of something like that. How do you protect it I want to start a collection by buying this set of Johnson's dictionaries, but I'm afraid I'll ruin them just leaving them on a bookshelf. And what if my house burns down or something and I have a really rare book? That is definately something to keep me awake at night.
And if you do collect, what do you collect and what is the most $$ you've ever spent?
