Dave Pelzer

I'm on the third book of the original trilogy. He filled in the missing chapters with a fourth book, "The Privilege of Youth," which is him as a teenager. His brother "Russell" (Richard Pelzer in real life), wrote a book from his perspective. It's titled "A Brother's Journey," and you see some of the same events through his eyes.

Has anyone else read the books by Dave Pelzer? Ive read the first two and quite enjoyed them (not sure if you really can "enjoy" books like this but hopefully you know what I mean!).
 
Yes i have read the three books by David pelzer,not really what i would call an enjoyable read...


If i remember righty there is a thread on his books somewhere on the forum..

Try the search but if youre like me you wont be able to find it..

I've only read the first one, A Child Called It...I loved it! It was so shocking, though. I don't understand what could motivate any person to be so cruel to a child, especially their own child...I mean, it just defied belief. I'm hoping to read the other two books he's written soon, and I expect to enjoy them as well.

I've heard this, too. Even his brothers have reputed a lot of the first book's content.
