Just finished reading David's Miracle: The Dream Ten Series. I was very impressed with how much detail the author, A.D. Erving wrote with. It was almost like you were standing next to David as his adventures unfolded.
The book revolves around David, a young boy in New York who was cut from the local basketball team for being too small. Instead of giving up, David continues to fight for his dream of playing basketball. When he meets other kids who also did not make the team, they come together through their love for the game and create their own team.
What was so great about this book was that it was not just about basketball, but emphasizes many morals that young kids can relate to and learn from. This book preaches believing in yourself, real friends, true teamwork and dreaming big.
This book is truly one of a kind and a great read for children and young adults who love basketball, perseverance, or just a great underdog story. Highly recommended.
