What is your definition of a reference book? I use it to describe a lot of the books that I read, but am wondering if it is the correct genre.

Definition of Reference Books

The type of books you don't read, but use to search for information: dictionaries, encyclopedias, books that offer general, background information on a particular subject, without covering anything in depth (e.g., geography collections, world history collections), atlases, etc.

Thanks! I was assuming that the books I commonly read had a special genre, but I guess they are just non-fiction.
