Hi everyone,
I’ve been reading with my little cousin a lot lately, and I noticed how different children’s alphabet books can be. Some are super basic, just “A is for Apple,” while others add fun rhymes or little stories. We tried one from alphabetanatomy, and I was surprised how much more he remembered when the letters had characters and meanings tied to them. It felt less like memorizing and more like playing.
I’m curious do you think alphabet books are actually effective for early learning, or are they more of a fun extra activity? If you’ve used them with kids in your family, did you notice a big difference in how quickly they picked up letters?
