Being a cynic, these books are only amazing to me in that they find readers who believe in them. They all have "uncovered" secrets but really their evidence does not stand up to careful analysis, and is often based on a narrow range of materials. The amount of material published on archaeological matters that is only available in highly specialized journals, and often not in English, is vast and I do not believe these authors have read the whole spectrum of the material available.
